Tagline:... is the hand that rules the world.
Favourite line:"When your husband makes love to you, it's my face he sees!"

"Hell hath no fury like a woman…..whose husband commits suicide after being correctly accused of sexual assault on women under his medical care."

Rebecca De Mornay plays Peyton, erstwhile wife of the aforementioned dirty doctor who embarks on a campaign of vengeance against the woman who instigated the sexual assault allegations. Hers is a convincing role, as she relishes the evil persona, and is very effective.

The plot as a whole is rather contrived, though never less than entertaining, and this would have scored more highly but for the trite factor - the retarded handyman coming to the rescue at the end, cued by earlier in the film him intoning "I won't let you hurt them," the impossibly intelligent daughter who out-thinks The Peyton when she goes psycho.
A mark was also knocked off for the implausibly perfect husband, a man so lacking in flaws I literally wanted to knock his teeth out just so there was an imperfection.
Overall, a good, well-crafted movie, though disbelief has to be suspended somewhat.
