Country of origin:USA
Director:Quentin Tarantino

Rating:4/5
IMDB link:http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0119396/
Tagline:Six players on the trail of a half a million in cash. There's only one question... Who's playing who?
Favourite line:"You know man, I hate be the kind of nigger that do a nigger a favor and then Bam! hit the nigger up for a favor in return, but I gots to be that kinda nigger."

Pam Grier plays Jackie Brown, a flight attendant who becomes embroiled in a plot by the police authorities to bring down an arms dealer.
Cast in honour of the blaxploitation movies she appeared in during the 70's, she puts in a fine turn as a bolshy, confident woman, determined to get something out of the situation she finds herself in.

Tarantino's homage to the aforementioned blaxploitation genre is a much maligned, unjustly slammed critical disaster, but I for one find it a great movie. Not as wilfully 'hip' as his previous two (Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction), this is still assured film-making. True, the script isn't quite as snappy as the films mentioned, but it is still head and shoulders above most Hollywood output in terms of dialogue.
An under-rated pleasure.
