Favourite line:"Ah, don't give me that shit. I thought you were donating a kidney or something."

Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner star in this likeably silly adventure yarn that takes in drug runners, precious emeralds and ridiculous car chases.

Turner's Joan Wilder character is a romance novelist, who receives a disturbing call one day from her sister - she is being held hostage in Colombia and, unless Joan brings the treasure map to the kidnappers that her sister's husband posted to her just before his death, they will post her sister to her in pieces.
Got that?
Ok.
Turner travels to Colombia, where she finds herself on the wrong bus, then at gun point, before Douglas' Jack T. Colton shows up to save her. Cue a cross country chase to find the treasure, and outwit the kidnappers that climaxes in a shootout, whilst Douglas is holding the tail of a crocodile that has swallowed the emerald to prevent it swimming away.

See, I told you it was all a bit daft.
The lead characters are watchable enough, and the movie clips along at a fair old rate, but it lacks any real substance.
Not as funny or action packed asthe Indiana Jones movies, which this is clearly trying to emulate, it is just about an above average family adventure.
I enjoyed it, but wouldn't rush to watch it again.
