Wow.
Excellent sequel to the rather arty-farty original Motion Picture.

In an episode of The Original Series 'Space Seed,' Kirk left Khan and his wife abandoned on a planet.
Years later, Starfleet are experimenting with something called Project Genesis, a terraforming experiment to bring new life to dead worlds.
For many long years Khan has been hatching a plan - kill Kirk, and get his grubby mitts on the Genesis data to do a little planet altering of his own.

Sharply scripted, with some genuine moments of pathos interspersed throughout the sci-fi action, this is an assured addition to the franchise.
With the loss of a regular character, a revelation about Kirk's son, a solid plot and a fine supporting cast, this is clearly the best of the original cast movies. Only First Contact gets near it overall, and that of course stars The Next Generation cast.
For Trekkies only, I would suspect, this has plenty to get your teeth into. And just check out the pecs on Khan. I'd think they were CGI'd if not for the year the movie was made.
A great film.
