Favourite line:"I just keep injesting these poisonous men until I make myself sick."

A really interesting idea for a movie, and apparently based on real events - though how far credulity is stretched is debatable.

Tom 'I am a real actor, you know' Hanks plays a man from a fictional Eastern European country, whose country is effectively dissolved whilst he is arriving at an American airport. As a result, he can neither enter the USA - he has no country of origin, so his visa is no longer valid - nor can he return home as his country no longer exists. Because of this he is compelled to live in the airport itself, much to the consternation of the authorities who are enormously embarrassed by the political fallout of the situation.

Engrossing, entertaining and poignant, this is a thought provoking movie about a very peculiar sequence of events, that highlights the ludicrous nature of the bureacracy surrounding the movement of people, even in this modern world.
Recommended.
