In the distant future Charlotte, a beautiful young woman, is kidnapped by Meier Link, one of the last remaining vampires, a race decimated by the bounty hunters determined to eradicate their undead kind. Charlotte's father hires 'D', a notorious vampire hunter, to track down Meier and return his daughter alive.
A CGI anime that blurs the boundaries between several genres.
Horror is here in abundance, but there is a clear sci-fi element too, as well as some subtler film-noir touches, and even a Spaghetti Western feel in places.
Visually striking, this won't trouble your brain cells too much, but this is an entertaining romp nevertheless.
Quality anime.
