Favourite line:"We're going to hell together!"

Based on a Stephen King short story, this is a loose adaptation which is as incoherent and idiotic as it is, for moments at least, entertaining.

A small, run down town in Maine, whose only stand out feature is a textile mill which, due to the searing heat, can only operate at night between the hours of 11pm and 7am - the Graveyard Shift.

Most of the 'scares' are facilitated by an abundance of rats creeping around the place, but there's a more sinister secret buried here too.
Could it be a giant mutant slimy bat creature with a taste for human flesh? I think it very well could be.
The atmosphere is effective, and the acting acceptable for this standard of movie - Brad Dourif, as ever, is the best character on show as The Exterminator. He's a creepy son of a bitch in every role he plays.
But be warned, it makes little or no sense - we never find out exactly why the creature is inhabiting the place, or why only now has it emerged, but that aside this is a slightly daft but vaguely entertaining horror tale.
Reasonably enjoyable.
