Year:2000
Country of origin:USA
Director:Patrick Lussier
Genre:Angelic horror guff
Starring:Christopher Walken, Vincent Spano, Dave Buzzotta
Rating:3/5
IMDB link:http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0183678/
Tagline:The Final, Most Thrilling Chapter!
Favourite line:"You been with a woman, Zophael? It's like dying... you moan, cry out."

More of the same, that being competent, horror themed religious pomposity.

Walken returns as Gabriel, though this time he is a mere mortal.
A Nephilim (human angel hybrid) known as Danyael holds the fate of the world in his hands, and the evil Pyriel is Hellbent on commiting an act of genocide against humanity.

Sound like nonsense?
Well, in truth it is, but it's efficiently executed, and never less than entertaining.
True, at times it feels like a dark action thriller rather than an out and out horror, but the last fifteen minutes makes up for this, with Dante-esque visions of Purgatory presented for your enjoyment, and mighty sinister it looks too.
One for completists only, if you've watched the first two and enjoyed them this is certainly no worse, but dipping into the series at this point may serve only to baffle.
Keyword: efficient.
