Dudley Moore and Peter Cook's wildly anarchic last performance together sees them sitting in a recording studio, essentially messing around, waffling about anything that springs to mind, hurling vicious barbs in each others general direction, and, ultimately, producing one of the funniest pieces of film ever recorded.
By this time in their relationship the pair could barely stand each other. Cook was embittered with envy due to Dudley Moore's Hollywood success, and the curdled emotions are laid bare here.
Each of the comedians gets to do 'their thing' - Cook's horse racing commentary, Moore's piano spoofs - but it is when they are simply sitting on the stools, chatting amongst themselves that this really shines.
Hilarious, in very poor taste and utterly chaotic, anyone who thinks they have a sense of humour needs to see this just to be sure. If you find yourself not laughing, or turn it off in disgust either at the use of the word 'nigger', or when they discuss 'kicking a womans cunt in', you know you are a mirthless fool.
Utterly brilliant.
