The first Bond movie that really adhered to the formula that would become so familiar as the series continued.
Sean Connery is in fine form, and Goldfinger himself is an excellent villain.
This is the one with Oddjob's bowler hat and Honor Blackman as Pussy Galore.
The villains' plan is simple: Destroy all of the gold in Fort Knox, thus rendering the USA a third world country.
Some great set pieces, the Aston Martin, and the superb sequence on the golf course make this one of the finest of the series's forty odd year run.
