Favourite line:"It's mercy, compassion, and forgiveness I lack. Not rationality."

Quentin Tarantino's excellent take on all things Oriental, particularly the notoriously entertaing 70's period of chop socky movie-making prevalent in Hong Kong.
The tongue in cheek genre references abound - Yakuza-like henchman, Samurai swords, group martial arts battles and, most obviously, Uma's jumpsuit which is almost identical to the one Bruce Lee wore in Game of Death.
The script, as ever, is taut, though unusually sparse for Tarantino.
This one is all about the action.
The martial arts scenes are just superb, with gouts of blood, dismemberment, and a real sadistic leaning.
Clearly aimed at those with a passion for all things retro, this is a veritable triumph.
My favourite martial arts movie and, possibly, my favourite Tarantino movie too (though at the time of writing I am yet to see Grindhouse, which I am looking forward to a lot).
