Favourite line:"It was him. Him and his men. They shot him. Forever. The bullets kept hitting him. Forever."

Clint is back on Western duties in this, a Western with a heart.

Clint plays The Preacher, a mysterious stranger in a town believed to be on the verge of a Gold Rush.
The locals, led by Hull Barrett, pan and dig for gold. Trouble is, some prospectors are in the vicinity, and they want to claim the land as their own so that they can mechanically mine for the damn stuff, but Clint has other ideas, so think The A-Team with dynamite. It's a fairly typical Western yarn, with Clint the enigmatic hero who wanders in and wanders off just as quickly, once his work is done.

There are cliché's aplenty too; bad guys forcing a good guy to dance by shooting at his feet, the fact that every woman seems to fall instantly in love with our Clint, the duel for the finale, but this is nevertheless a stylish, assured Western, as they used to be made.
In truth, this would have got top marks but for the annoyingly tedious 'love interest' angle from the teenage Megan, ten minutes the film could surely have done without.
Decent enough.
