Favourite line:"You want to find an outlaw, hire an outlaw. You want to find a Dunkin' Donuts, call a cop."

Oddball comedy from the Coen brothers which is very highly rated but, I have to say, disappointed me a little.

Nicolas Cage and Holly Hunter play an ex-con and an ex-cop, who wind up married. Problem is, Hunter's character cannot conceive a child. They hatch a plan to kidnap a wealthy business man's baby, one of a quintuplet clutch of five, and claim it as their own.
Thus begins a procession of farcical, outrageous situations as the protaganists each vie for ownership of the sprog.

My gripe with it is the over-reliance on slapstick and 'zaniness', whereas the Coen's are usually a little more subtle than that.
Good performances all round though, and one of the best character names ever to grace a movie, in the form of bounty hunter The Lone Biker Of The Apocalypse.
Entertaining if not vital viewing.
