Year:1980
Country of origin:USA
Director:Richard Lester
Genre: Good vs evil, loneliness, romance
Starring:Christopher Reeve, Margot Kidder
Rating:4/5
IMDB link:http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0081573/
Tagline:The three outlaws from Krypton descend to Earth to confront the Man of Steel in a cosmic battle for world supremacy.
Favourite line:"Come to me, son of Jor-El, kneel before Zod!"

More of the same really, though this one is a bit more action packed, and a little less arty in tone.
This is also the Superman movie to feature the wonderful character of Zod, the bearded arch-villain seen imprisoned in the pane of glass, along with his two sidekicks, at the start of the first movie.
Virtually perfect, but for an overuse of the 'romantic' angle, which gets a bit much.
The best of the Superman movies.
