Is this a movie or is it a piece of visual art?
I'm not sure but, as there is nowhere else appropriate on the site, it’s going here. So there.
An artistic and highly stylised view of one man on a football pitch for the duration of a match, shown from multiple angles but, crucially, telling you nothing else about what is happening in the game.
It's a labour of love, an adoration piece of an idol, and it is mesmerically beautiful.
True, you probably have to love football to love this but, if you follow the beautiful game and happen to be a fan of the mighty Zizou, this should float your boat and, if you are of a mind, spark up a bifter and drift away to the epic sounds of Mogwai, even as Zidane is sent off after a scuffle with just a few minutes of the match remaining.
Is it a film?
Is it art for the sake of art?
No idea, but it is bloody great.
