Part 5 of the killer puppet franchise.
The plot:
Following straight on from part 4, Rick Myers is under arrest, suspected of murder.
Telling his fanciful tale of killer dolls and ancient demons, little wonder he is not believed.
In steps scientist Jennings, getting Myers out on bail. But Jennings has an ulterior motive; working on an artificial intelligence project, he is keen to acquire the power of the puppet master; the power to bring life to the inanimate.
Elsewhere, in the bowels of Hell or maybe somewhere even more diabolical, an ancient evil awakens, plotting its vengeance on Andre Toulon, the original puppet master, and the puppets that destroyed him. By fashioning a monstrous puppet in his own image, the demon Sutekh seeks to once more walk the Earth.
Can Myers control the puppets sufficiently to prevent the despicable evil from arising anew?
Will Jennings make it to the end of the movie?
And just where the hell is Leech Woman, anyway?
Very low budget, this is a Full Moon production so those in the know will expect what they get.
With likeable leads, some genuine atmosphere, and some spectacularly silly puppet work, this is retro horror that drips with class, despite the budgetary limitations.
With a Hollywood remake of part 1 planned - in fucking 3D - I say don't bother with that, watch this series of films from start to finish instead.
Great horror.
