A Nightmare on Elm Street 8 or Friday the 13th 11, depending on your point of view, sees two of the most iconic figures in slasher movie history - only Michael 'Halloween' Myers comes close - do battle for the souls of some not so innocent young things.

The plot:
Freddy has become weakened through the years as the residents of Springwood lose their fear of him; no fear, no dreams, no death to rip. In a bid to ratchet up the terror levels of the community, Freddy resurrects one Jason Voorhees, erstwhile machete wielding maniac down at Camp Crystal Lake, and convinces the maggoty one to do his bidding in the town.
See, Jason can interact with the real world, where Freddy can't.
Duly dispatched, Jason starts offing the young lovelies and, sure enough, the panic ensues, but Freddy has a new problem now:
How's he supposed to kill the young twattlings when Jason keeps getting to them first?
Only one thing to do: arrange a fight to the death with Voorhees himself.

What a load of old cobblers and no mistake.
Initially interesting, if only for the pleasure of seeing two horror greats on screen together - think Pacino and De Niro in Heat, only with more entrails - and it is always a genuine joy to see that hockey mask one more time.
Look, Jason's bloody cool, OK, and if you don't understand that, don't worry....just means you're a fucking moron.
Krueger is in full on slapstick mode, with one-liners and even comedy gestures, which should make you shudder, folks, it really should, and he quickly becomes irritating.
Add onto that some truly diabolical - in all the wrong ways - CGI, and a set of characters so one dimensional it's not long before you're fast forwarding to the next kill sequence.
I wasn't expecting much of this.
I got just what I thought.
Avoid.
